Join Paul Burke, one of Britain's favourite ad-men turned novelists, for a
light-hearted lunchtime chat about his new novel, Untorn Tickets. Over the
years, Paul Burke has written some of Britain's favourite commercials
including the Budweiser ads featuring frogs & lizards and the Barclaycard
epics with Rowan Atkinson. His first novel, Father Frank, met with rave
reviews and is currently being rewritten as a screenplay for Hartwood Films.
Untorn Tickets reflects his humorous style as it follows the adventures of
two teenage boys working part-time at a cinema, learning about films, music, life and how to swindle the cash register.
Don't miss what promises to be a
highly entertaining event at Cabot Hall. Books etc will be on hand so you
can purchase and get your copy of Paul's books signed.

Comedian Pete McCarthy is the wanderlusting television & radio presenter -
Travelog, Desperately Seeking Something, X Marks The Spot - and now the best-selling author who can't resist adventure, danger and stout. McCarthy's Bar, went to no.1 in the UK, Ireland & Australia. Pete recently won Newcomer of The Year at the British Book Awards.
The second book, The Road
to McCarthy, takes irrepressible Pete from Cork & Belfast to Gibraltar,
Morocco, New York, Tasmania, Montserrat, Montana and Alaska on an epic
pilgrimage in pursuit of far-flung Irish connections. An accomplished live
performer who in a previous life was nominated for the Perrier Award and
compered The Comedy Store, Pete re-lives The Road while you hold the map.
A funny, engaging & warm-hearted evening. Book-signing follows the show
